What Opportunities are there to Get Involved?

2025 -26 Leadership Summit Academy
The Leadership Summit Academy is your front-row seat to understanding how our district operates—and how you can help shape its future. Open to new and returning members, this six-session series connects parents, caregivers, and community members with district leaders to dive into the heart of Summit's mission and priorities. Explore key topics like public education advocacy, instructional philosophy, and strategic planning while building community and leadership skills.

District Accountability Committee (DAC)
The DAC gives families and community members a formal voice in shaping district priorities. As a volunteer committee, DAC reviews improvement plans, budget priorities, and parent engagement strategies. No experience needed—just your insights and dedication to student success.
DAC reviews district performance data, identifies root causes, and helps guide continuous improvement. You’ll help ensure academic and equity goals are met and that every student thrives.

School Accountability Committee (SAC)
Every school in Summit has its own School Accountability Committee, working alongside principals to review school performance and recommend improvements. SAC members help shape school goals, budgets, and programs. Your input ensures decisions reflect the values and needs of each unique school community.

La Consejo de Familias Hispanas es una invitación especial del Superintendente Dr. Tony Byrd para que las familias de habla hispana se reúnan, compartan ideas y construyan una comunidad escolar más inclusiva. Participar en el consejo permite que su voz impacte directamente en las actividades escolares y las prioridades educativas, creando un futuro mejor para todos nuestros estudiantes.

PTSA – Parent Teacher Student Association
Joining your school’s PTSA is a simple, impactful way to support our students and staff. From hosting school events to funding classroom grants, PTSAs build stronger, more connected school communities. Annual dues are tax-deductible and support programs that enrich student learning. Whether or not you can attend meetings, your voice and ideas are always welcome.
