Online/Remote Learning
The Summit School District Online & Remote Learning Programs aim to serve students in grades K-12 who choose to learn fully online. Some families choose this option as a safe alternative for medically fragile and medically at-risk students; others choose fully online learning for the flexibility it offers; others opt for fully online learning so they can compete in national and international level activities and travel throughout their season; still others choose this option for children who prefer learning outside of the traditional brick and mortar environment, which can be anxiety-inducing and has a more traditional seat-time schedule.
Students in the SSD K-5 Remote Program will learn and grow by:
-
engaging with SSD curriculum through live instruction on a set schedule
- developing relationships with highly-qualified SSD educators hired exclusively for this program
- staying connected to their home school through communications, school events, clubs, activities, and athletics
- receiving support from counseling, special education, gifted and talented, and social emotional learning services
