Our International Baccalaureate Programs
Primary Years Program
Grades PK- 5
Six schools participate in the primary years program: Breckenridge Elementary, Dillon Valley Elementary, Frisco Elementary, Silverthorne Elementary, Summit Cove Elementary and Upper Blue Elementary. Learn More
Middle Years Program
Grades 6-10
Two schools participate in the middle years program: Summit Middle School and Summit High School. Learn More
Diploma Program
Grades 11-12
Summit High School participates in the Diploma Program. After grade 10, students opt-in for the DP Program. Learn More
About IB in Summit Schools
• In 2001, SSD became one of the first full IB districts in the nation
• All IB program sites (8 of 9 schools) have been authorized since 2011*
• All students participate in Primary Years and Middle Years programs, then have the option to enroll in the Diploma Program.
*Snowy Peaks Jr./Sr. HS is not an IB school.
The SEL wheel connects the SSD graduate profile, IB learner Profile, and CASEL framework of skills in order to provide a common understanding of Social Emotional language and skills throughout a student's experience in Summit School district.
