Trailblazers of Tomorrow: 

As tassels turn and caps rise, we proudly honor the incredible journeys of the Summit High School and Snowy Peaks Class of 2025. These graduates are crossing more than a stage—they are blazing trails. They reflect the very best of our Summit School District Graduate Profile: Prepared, Growth-Oriented, Curious, Courageous, and Globally Aware.

Their futures are as diverse as their dreams. From college campuses to national parks, hospital labs to fire stations, and design studios to diesel garages, these young leaders are stepping boldly into what comes next.


Summit High School: Real-World Ready
 

The Class of 2025 is stepping into the world with purpose and preparation. These graduates have transformed learning into opportunity, embracing every chance to grow, lead, and explore.


College Credit Milestone

  • 91.2% of SHS seniors (227 of 249 students) earned college credit from Colorado Mountain College before graduating from high school.
  • They earned 4,892.5 credits, the vast majority at no cost to families—a value equal to $504,400 in tuition from Colorado Mountain College.
  • On average, each student earned 21.4 credits, with 23% earning 30+ and 67.4% earning at least 15.
  • Some students are already close to associate degrees, ready to double major or start graduate-level work early.

Snowy Peaks: Modeling the Yeti Way


At Snowy Peaks, students flourish in a personalized learning environment grounded in relationships, reflection, and resilience.

Statewide Recognition
Snowy Peaks was recently honored with the High School Academic Growth Award, one of only nine schools in Colorado to receive this distinction from the Department of Education.


🎓 Consistently Excellent Outcomes

  • The school has sustained a 100% graduation rate and 0% dropout rate since 2018.
  • This year, 81% of Snowy Peaks graduates earned CMC college credit, reflecting deep alignment with real-world and postsecondary readiness.
  • Students leave Snowy Peaks confident, credentialed, and inspired—ready to serve, study, or lead.

Pathways with Purpose
Summit graduates don’t follow one set path—they forge their own, supported by Future Ready Pathways that reflect their passion and purpose.

Higher Education
SSD graduates are headed to respected institutions across the country, including:
University of Arizona, CSU, University of Alabama, CU Boulder, University of Florida, Cal Poly, Oregon State', Montana State, University of Utah, Colorado School of Mines, University of Vermont, and more.


They will pursue majors in:

  • Business, Finance, and Marketing
  • Psychology, Neuroscience, and Clinical Sciences
  • Environmental Biology, Illustration, Pre-Law, and Criminology

Skilled Trades
The Skilled Trade Pathway opens doors to high-demand careers through institutions like Lincoln Tech and UTI.  

Students are entering fields like:

  • HVAC, Diesel Mechanics, Construction
  • Outdoor Leadership, Computer Science

Service and Civic Commitment
Several graduates have chosen to serve their community and country through:

  • Local emergency services
  • Military service
  • Structured gap years focused on exploration and growth

These choices reflect the heart of the Graduate Profile: Prepared, Growth-Oriented, Curious, Courageous, and Globally Aware.
