Celebrating Student Learning Across Summit

8th Grade Reflections

As Summit Middle School students prepare for the transition to high school, 8th-grade reflections contemplate growth, confidence, perseverance, friendships, and academic achievement. Students also reflect on the Graduate Profile skills they developed during their time at SMS and how they will apply those skills for future success. We are proud of the Class of 2030 and excited for what comes next.

9th Grade Community Projects

SHS freshmen showcased community-focused projects addressing local issues. Students researched community needs, analyzed data, interviewed local organizations and residents, and developed solution-based presentations that demonstrated critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and civic engagement.

Thank You, Summit Community!

Thank you to the families, businesses, educators, volunteers, and community partners who continue to lift Summit students and public schools.

From graduation banners displayed in Frisco and Dillon to the Breckenridge Graduate Parade, these traditions reflect how deeply Summit County values its students and schools.

Families, please continue checking the calendar for concerts, talent shows, athletic events, performances, and end-of-year celebrations happening across SSD schools.

These moments remind us why public schools matter. They are places where students discover passions, build relationships, solve problems, serve their communities, and prepare for the future. They also reflect the incredible dedication of our teachers, staff, families, and community partners who support students every step of the way.
