Supplies for Success is a school supply distribution that ensures close to 1,600  SSD students start the school year with the supplies they need for a successful and strong academic year.

Did you know that families spend an average of $100+ per year for each child’s school supplies? In Summit School District Schools 41% of students live at or near the poverty level and often go without essentials. This program ensures that students have the supplies for success.

About Supplies for Success

Thanks to a generous donation from  Epic Promise- Breckenridge and Keystone Ski Resorts,  and other community partners including Summit County Community & Senior Center, Freeport McMoRan, Education Foundation of the Summit, Summit Rotary, Smart Bellies, Summit 50 Plus and grassroots community fundraising efforts over 1,400 students received essential supplies for the 2024-25 school year. 

This year, we hope to deliver supplies to 1,600 school children so that they get the supplies they need to start the school year right. 

Why This Matters

Families spend an average of $100+ per year on school supplies for each child. With 41.2% of our students living at or near the poverty level, many families struggle to afford these essentials. Supplies for Success ensures all students have what they need to start the year strong.

Supplies for Success is a school supply distribution program that ensures close to 1,600 elementary* and middle school students in Summit School District start the school year with the supplies they need for a successful and strong academic year.

Supplies for Success Distribution

We are planning to prepare supplies for over 3,200 students for the 2026/2027 school year. All supplies are delivered to each of the participating* schools in Summit School District. Please note that each school handles the distribution of the supplies in a way that is best for their individual school community.

School Supply List:

The majority of essential school supplies will be provided at schools on the first day of school. A few additional items may be requested by individual schools. Lists will be provided Fall 2025 from schools's directly.
